AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE OF KUWAIT ON THE WAVER OF VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR HOLDERS OF DIPLOMATIC AND SPECIAL PASSPORTS

 

The Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the State of Kuwait, hereinafter referred to as the «Parties»,

Aiming as strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries,

Desiring to facilitate the entry and exit of the holders of Diplomatic and Special Passports of national of both countries,

 

Have agreed as follows:

 

Article 1

 

The provisions of this agreement applied to:

1. The nationals of the Republic of Armenia: Diplomatic Passport.

2. The nationals of the State of Kuwait: Diplomatic and Special Passports.

 

Article 2

 

1. The Nationals mentioned in Article 1 of this agreement, may enter, transit and exit from the territory of the other state of the other Party, without a visa for a period of not exceeding than ninety (90) days or several stays in any six (6) months from the first date of entry.

2. The Nationals assign in Diplomatic missions and Consulates and international Organization Missions in the other State Party, mentioned in Article 1 of this agreement, as well as their spouse and underage children, who accompany them and live with them, may enter into and exit from and stay in the territory of the state of the other Party, without a visa for a period of employment. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of one Party shall inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the other Party for their arrival. The nationals specified in this paragraph shall receive a legitimation (accreditation) card from the receiving Party.

 

Article 3

 

The Nationals mentioned in article 1 of this agreement, may extend the duration of their stay in the territory of the State of the other Party after the approval of the competent authorities of the other Party, in accordance with the legal provisions in force at the other Party.

 

Article 4

 

The Nationals mentioned in article 1 of this agreement shall comply with the entry regulations and the national legislation in force in the territory of the State of the other Party throughout the duration of their stay.

 

Article 5

 

Each Part reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate the stay to any Nationals considered undesirable without giving any reason.

 

Article 6

 

1. The Parties shall exchange, through diplomatic channels, samples of Passports mentioned in this agreement, within thirty (30) days after its entry into force.

2. In case of any modifications of the Passports mentioned in this agreement, the Parties shall exchange through diplomatic channels their new models and information about these Passports, within thirty (30) days of from its adoption.

 

Article 7

 

Each Party reserves the right to suspend the provisions of this agreement, in whole or in part, for reasons of protection of national security, public order or public health. Such suspension and the lifting thereof shall be notified to the other Party through diplomatic channels and shall enter into force or terminate from the date of the receipt of the notification by the other Party.

 

Article 8

 

Any dispute between the Parties concerning the interpretation and/or implementation of this agreement shall be settled through consultations or negotiations.

 

Article 9

 

This agreement shall be amended with the consent of the both Parties. The amendment will become an integral part of this agreement and will enter into force in accordance with the article 10 of this agreement.

 

Article 10

 

This Agreement shall enter into force in the (30) days after the last notification whereby one of the parties informs the other in written through diplomatic channels to fulfill the internal procedures required for its entry into force.

 

Article 11

 

This agreement shall valid for indefinite period starting from the date of entry into force. Ether Party may terminate this Agreement by giving a written notice to the other Party through diplomatic channels. The termination shall take effect ninety (90) days after the date of notification.

 

Done in Kuwait City on 19th of November 2012, in the two original copies, each in Armenian, Arabic and English languages, all texts being equally authentic and valid. In case of divergence in the interpretation, the English text shall prevail.

 

The Agreement has entered into force on 9 May 2013.
